Have fun with this brief quiz on how women are doing in business in the U.S. (click more).
As you read in the case of Lisa L., someone already successful in her market, she looked into government grants for women and found one that would enable her business to open an entire new wing.
Increasing the scope of what she already does, delivering health care to under-served youth, to also creating a database through profiling their health trends and needs, she would be entering an entirely new and growing industry.
This industry is going to grow tremendously in the next 10 years. Though Lisa L. had wanted to get into that field, she did not know how to get there.
This grant , if/when granted to her, will open the door for her to get into that field. Even if it doesn’t , and here’s the cool thing. Lisa now has it in her scope of what she is going to add to her business services this new aspect of database building. Expanding to this new arena, she won’t stop until it is in her hands. That – right there – is very exciting.
You may be or know someone who is a business owner who just might want to look into what Lisa looked into to grow their business: government grants. Go for it.
